Treats for Buddy Dog

New box for the Dude!

Once again the awesome Chewy.com sent us treats! We picked out Dr. Tim's Natural Beef Liver Genuine Freeze-Dried Dog & Cat Treats, and then remembered that Maggie shouldn't have ANY treats with protein due to her itchy feet and limited ingredient diet.

Did you say treats?

 We didn't think it would be fair for Duke and the cats to get treats and leave Maggie out. Luckily we were going to Buddy Dog to drop off some blankets, so we brought the treats for the shelter dogs.

Ozzy, 2 year old male Collie mix

Dr. Tim's Natural Beef Liver Treats were a huge hit! 95% of the dogs wanted seconds (and thirds), and there were enough treats for everyone with almost half a box left over for training treats. Ozzy jumped and barked for more, but quieted down and sat nicely for each treat. He caught on quickly!

Nala, 6-year-old female Chow-Shepherd mix

 Nala was very polite and gentle taking treats, and showed off her  ''sit'', ''stay'', and ''down''. She came to Buddy Dog when her elderly owner had to move to assisted living. Such a sweet dog!

Simba, 1-year-old male MinPin mix

My absolute favorite of the day was Simba, who had the sweetest little face. He loved the treats, and the firm, dry texture made it easy to break them into smaller pieces for him. So wanted to take him home!
