The View from Here

Serena & Ozzy

Sometimes it seems a little weird when everyone is on the couch at once. This is the view from my spot. Serena doesn't hang out for long, she prefers to do multiple "drive bys."

Ozzy & The Dude
Ozzy and the Dude have been best friends for almost 6 years. The Dude was about 1 1/2 when we brought Ozzy & Cocoa home from the shelter and they were about 7.

The Dude, Duke and Maggie

Maggie and Duke have been best friends since the minute they met over 3 years ago.
Duke, Maggie & Cocoa
Cocoa Bean tolerates the dogs and Dude, occasionally boxes with Serena and likes Ozzy a little bit.
We had all of the cats first, so the only requirement we had about a dog was that "it couldn't eat the cats", as the Mr said. The great thing about Buddy Dog and a lot of shelters is that they take the time to assess whether a dog will get along with cats and other dogs so they know a placement will work out long term. We've had Maggie about 5 years and Duke more than 3 years, so far so good!

  2. :-D What an awesome bunch of friends!! I'm super happy that you all get along so well!! I love all my kitty brothers and sister!! It's great that Buddy Dog makes sure that their pups are kitty or puppy friendly if needed!

  3. What a great fur-family you have! That's awesome that they asses the dogs with cats. More shelters should do that! Since I got mine as puppies, it was easy to integrate with the kitties:)

  5. That is similar to the view I often have on the couch. Our requirements for dogs was the same. We were lucky our rescue assessed this too!

    Happy cuddle time!

  8. Great pictures!
We too have a "don't eat the cat" policy. It should probably be changed to add "blind dogs are not to chase the cat" but, well, he runs fast!
