Just curious - do you have any clue what their mixes are? I have a dog at work that looks exactly like your tan and white one. They're adorable regardless!
We're not sure what they are, we think they might be some sort of pointer/whippet/beagle/terrier/Dodge Dart. Duke was listed as a whippet mix and Maggie was listed as a terrier/lab mix at the shelter. Maggie does point when she finds an animal she wants to chase.
Ours too! I was at a beagle rescue event and I asked a dog to sit since it wanted Maggie's treats. The owner said "he's old, he doesn't sit" right as the dog sat down. Reward based training is the best!
Great site! I'm trying to find an email address to contact you on to ask if you would please consider adding a link to my website. I'd really appreciate if you could email me back.
Never thought of them as formidable before! Nothing gets past the punks though. Maggie's bark sounds like it comes from a much bigger dog than 50 pounds. Duke's hound "woo woo woo" is pretty funny when it's not followed up by barking and growling.
Great pictures! Especially the last one.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I need a better camera, the running pictures were just blurs.
DeleteI agree with Jen. All the photos are very nice but the last one is especially cute. :0)
ReplyDeleteIt's my favorite too :)

DeleteWoof! Woof! You enjoyed your walk then no cookies ... Happy Wednesday. Lots of Golden ALOHA n Woofs, Sugar
ReplyDeleteThey got cookies right after I took the picture, they were just hoping I would hurry up!
DeleteLove the cookies shot! Happy WW!
ReplyDeleteThat last picture is very familiar to me. My pups do a perfect sit when cookies are involved!

DeleteThe promise or possibility of treats can work wonders. =)
DeleteLove the attentive expressions.

Those look like totally formidable guard dogs who don't miss anything.
