Hanging with the Big Dogs

Duke, Griffin & Stout with Maggie in the background
The dogs love going to my parents' house, especially when Uncle D brings Stout to visit. They live in Vermont, so we only get to see them a few times a year.

Duke thinks Stout is the coolest, though he was a little intimidated by a 100 pound lab when they first met. There's usually a little barking when we get there and then they're fine.

Please excuse the blurry pics from last year, hopefully we'll get better pics of the crew tomorrow.

Happy Easter!

Life with Ozzy

Ozzy and The Dude
Ozzy seems to be the center of the universe here. He's always in the middle of everything, and usually just relaxing. Not a bad way to be...

Daylight Savings

Hey Lady, it's kind of early.
I used to hate daylight savings. It felt like it took weeks to get used to the time change.

Maggie, Duke and the Mr.

The great thing is that it's light enough to take a walk through the fields and woods after work!

Maggie: Um, where did Duke go? This could be a trap!

There's the puppy!

Is that a squirrel?
What's taking you guys so long?

The Bunny Trail

Another foot of snow fell on Friday. Note the extreme lack of trail.

Maggie: Will it go away if we ignore it?   Duke: The driveway looks clear.

The snow blower didn't want to go past the garage.

The Mr. stomped a trail to the woods, yay Mr. Man!

Hopping down the bunny trail.

Hurry up, Maggie, my toes are getting cold!

First one to the couch wins!

The Animal Rescue Site

What's that you say? Help for rescue animals?
I first heard of The Animal Rescue Site after we adopted Maggie from Buddy Dog Humane Society and learned that she had been rescued by Save A Sato. The Save A Sato website had a link to The Animal Rescue Site Shelter Challenge, where animal rescue organizations that are registered members of Petfinder.com are eligible to receive grants based on the number of votes they get.

Seriously? No fooling?

The Animal Rescue Site also has a link where sponsors donate money for food and care per click. Many great shelters and rescues from all over the U.S., along with international rescues like Save A Sato, have received grants through this program. You can click once per day per device, so people with smart phones and tablets can vote more than once for their favorite organization or for multiple groups to share the love.

Chillin' in the Dog Fort
It's nice to know that there is something quick, easy and FREE that people can do every day to show their support for local and international rescue groups. The Animal Rescue Site also sells many Paw Print and animal themed items that help fund food and care for rescued animals, plus many links to donate directly to animal rescue groups if people can.

I'm putting a button on the blog to remind me to click everyday and hopefully help Save A Sato get enough votes for a grant. The 2 Satos in the house think it's a good idea!
